Full credit to FilmCore for the amazing and engaging presentation of the size comparison of the Xenomorphs over the years - across all the films featuring the Alien.

Interesting that the Neomorph was so tall at 8' eclipsing most of the Xenomorph variants except the Protomorph....must have had some good stuff in the water on Planet 4 lol

You would imagine the Deacon would have grown significantly larger when fully grown (not taking into account the Fire and Stone comic depiction), to about roughly the size of the AVP:R Pred-alien @10ft if you take the below chart as accurate of the heights between the standard Yautja and the Prometheus Engineer.

There are a FEW things missing.

Like the 10ft Genetically Engineered Predator from The Predator.

I had speculated a LONG while ago that IF the Deacon was Humanoid to a Large Degree and would thus GROW at a Rate that a Mammal would then our Deacon would like Grow to 12-15ft Ball Park when its ADULT.

We then got Fire and Stone Comics where the Concept Work seemed to indicate the Engineer Born Deacon would have Grown to become 10-12ft Tall

Nice video. The Queen always seemed taller than 15'- maybe due to the huge egg sack it was attached to. For some reason, the egg sack here appears to be attached to the queen's back.

Watched the Video its a Good Effort the Deacon seems to be Smaller a little and the Neomorph is a bit taller than it is.

That was interesting although the queen looks a bit ridiculous. How would she be able to move with that huge egg-sack and do not get me started about the Newborn.

XenomorphMember1234 XPMar-09-2020 4:19 PM

As the films show, she doesn't move with the egg sack.  She detaches.

Regardless of canon and Wikis- If Ripley was about 6 feet tall, the only creatures' heights that look the most accurate are the Runner and Deacon.

PraetorianMember3422 XPMar-10-2020 6:09 AM

The Trilobite is still very impressive and I believe gives a glimpse into other organisms we may see other than the bipeds spawning from the mutagen.

Looking at the Video then the DRONE came across about 7ft Tall bare in mind it was not Standing Completely Upright However, Certainly would not be 8ft 3" as indicated.

The Warrior looked about 6ft7-8" Mark but we have to Consider that Ripley was more closer to the Screen and so the Warrior would in effect be just under 7ft.

By the Time we get to the Runner it appears to be 6ft 2" Ball Park but again Perspective is hard to judge as Ripley appears to Walk up to 6" closer to the Screen

But then we should not Nit-Pick i think a lot of Effort went into the Video and should be Applauded.

The Drone in ALIEN was 7ft 2" when Fully Suited, i would say that Xenomorphs can Vary between 6ft 8" and 7ft 6"

Ingeniero: I like that they used the Trilobite as a precursor to the facehugger. Compare it to how some birds have evolved from the dinosaurs. To me it looked like a more clumsy facehugger which is totally okay, I still wonder how it is able to move. Maybe they would have used something similar to it in another movie, I do not know but maybe they can be used in some comic book or something.

Watching this again got me thinking that perhaps the reason for the '79 Drone (Big Chap) being larger than its Warrior cousins in '86 was due to gestation time. The Drones might gestate longer when a Queen is absent to ensure a more durable physique. When numbers are not on the Xenomorph's side. When a Queen is present however they can take advantage with numbers so the pheromones excreted by the Hive could speed up incubation for new Aliens waiting to burst. This would explain why the Aliens shown in a Queen-present setting are smaller and more slender than those born without the presence of a Queen.

This would also explain why the Deacon grew (in concept) to be as large as it did.

I still wish and pray someday we get to see what became of the Deacon on-screen but I don't think it will happen unfortunately.

Certainly the Gestation Times are all over the Place in the Franchise, does that IMPACT the Size? Who knows?

As the Protomorph had a Rabid Gestation and seem to be Larger than the Xenomorph Warriors.  The Neomorph also had a Quick Gestation.

When it comes down to the Deacon it would appear this took DAYS.... i think we have to take into Account the Deacon we saw was from Dr Shaw's Fetus (Trilobite) which GREW Big Fast..... but this kind of Face Hugger is a HYBRID and has a LOT of Human DNA and maybe this Impacts the Gestation Time, or maybe when a Engineer is Infected  the Gestation Time is SLOWER.

The Pred-Alien Procreation with the Direct Embryo Implantation was also a VERY FAST Gestation Period.  I think what we have is that the GESTATION is just a PLOT Factor, and so each Movie the Producers/Directors come up with DIFFERENT Speeds to SUIT the PLOT/PACE of the Movie.

With the DRONE maybe it was the Way that Kane was taken Care of when he got back to the NOSTROMO and so in MED-BAY in some kind of Cryo-Assisted Rest/Capsule could account for the SLOWER Gestation?

You could Wonder if this is WHY we saw Sgt Lopes Gestation being Longer? Some could Argue that Orams was much Faster but we have to remember the MOVIE is NOT playing in Real Time....  When Lope gets Infected the £"$£% Hits the Fan and they Quickly attempt to make their Escape.  The Time from when Lope meets up with Daniels and they make their RUN FOR IT to get to the Lander to when they get to the SHIP may be Longer Screen Time.. but David could have been ALONE with Oram for Hours.

It would have been Interesting to see Ridley Scott complete his NEXT FEW Movies and see HOW he would have Explored the Procreation of the Protomorph i would GUESS that he MAY have gone for the EGG-MORPH. I think the Egg Morph makes GREAT SENSE if THIS is How you can Create a Queen.

Finally talking about the QUEEN we did have ALIEN 3 and we saw that the Queen had taken a LONGER TIME to Gestate and so maybe XENOMORPHS that have the ability to Procreate/Reproduce are the ONES that take LONGER to Gestate?
