Original Eggs on the Derelict - Elizabeth and the Drawings by David
Ati
MemberPraetorianOct-09-2017 4:15 PMOne of the drawings by David shows an original 1979 chestburster. The same drawing reveals a female body as well, but it is a human one. We can see the phrase 'Female Human' in the drawing.
If I'm not mistaken, there was only one female human on Planet 4 when David proceeded with his experiments - Elizabeth Shaw.
We know that the Oram chestburster looked significantly different compared to the one in Alien 1979. Without doubt, Oram was attacked by a facehugger made by David.
I believe all of these facts lead us to the conclusion that Elizabeth was planted by an/the original facehugger taken out from an original egg created by the Engineers. If I know correctly, this egg made by the Engineers is mentioned in the Alien Covenant novelization by Foster.
I think it can be claimed that the eggs on the Derelict are original eggs made by the Engineers.

A lot of concept work like this went into the Workshop of David and you have to wonder from inception i.e drafts if the intention was as we see in the movie as far as all those pieces of paper David wrote on and the Experiments.
I feel a lot started as concept work and are there as Easter Eggs because it looks cool, we have the Original Xenomorph, the original Eggs as well as New Eggs as far as drawings.
Could this mean David discovered the Original Eggs? then Evolved them? maybe but it could maybe had meant nothing more than a Easter Egg.
But since the Advent Video etc, we have to assume indeed these are all part of Davids Experiments and Processes... which could then indeed show he encountered or created a Original Chest Buster.
That he then Evolves....
The Female Human is interesting as we know David experimented on Female Engineers, but some of those drawings do look like a Bald Dr Shaw. But some of these could have been drawings of Davids Imagination rather than drawings of things that actually happened.
Certainly would be interesting to get some more insight into all of this, maybe in the next movie.

MemberChestbursterOct-09-2017 6:56 PMHelp my memory here...
BigDave said, "we know David experimented on Female Engineers".
I don't remember seeing David working on female or male Engineers. I do know that he has an anatomy of a male standing upright in his workshop, but I don't remember there being proof that David experimented on any gender of Engineer. Now, my question could be because I've only seen the Advent video once and I don't know where I could find it again (and, honestly, I don't want to watch it again because of the gore, but I do if there are answers to my questions). Everything that I remember that David did with experimenting within the Advent video, I thought the experiment was Shaw, NOT an Engineer. Maybe there is something in the background I missed.
If you could, BigDave (or I guess anyone), explain to me or at least point me in the direction of the proof that David experimented on an Engineer.
My question is just because I always thought after watching the Advent video that it was Shaw David was experimenting on. What BigDave said just flipped my world not up side down, but it is definitely skewed.
Any help would be appreciated.

AdminEngineerOct-09-2017 6:59 PMGreat topic, you're on a roll lately Ati!

MemberXenomorphOct-10-2017 1:32 AMAti I think they are messing with our minds.
I just got used to the idea that David created the xenomorph. I don't like it but Ridley Scott said it is so and looks like most of A:C concept art was dedicated to this enterprise.
I know the novelization stated otherwise but that aspect was not included in the movie. David did not tell Oram he found the egg displayed in the lab. He missed the only opportunity and if he goes back to make amends to that story it would be cheap. Unless we get a film about the David - Shaw relationship, in between Prometheus and Covenant and learn something about the engineers' ways. I believe most of us want to see that film.

MemberChestbursterOct-10-2017 2:26 AMYes, in Foster's novelization, David said he didn't create the egg and the facehugger in the lab. He tries to re-create them (using small animals and Shaw).
The chestburster that Oram gives birth to isn't like Kain's. It's more developed from the beginning and grow's faster. David must, therefore, have created something new (with no connection to the eggs on LV-426).
I also wonder how we can "know" that David experimented on engineers, BigDave?

MemberXenomorphOct-10-2017 2:46 AMchli if we believe David's notes, he reanimated at some point one engineer.

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2017 5:31 AMNot all the Engineers, gathered, some where in different spots, all over the city. Remember, they stopped the ships from leaving, if they were engineers and not a sacred race, a chosen race. I don't think they were engineers but actual a chosen race, hidden away. They produced white Xeno, like the menorah and not the Black as prophesied, like human produced Xenomorph or deacon, via human rna. Shaw had millions of sperm inside of her, who knows if she was still infected, or not. Also her corpse was well preserved and untouched. It also still grew post mortem, she was still growing after death. How do we know she is not regenerating, and David was still harvesting organs... he did state it had regenerative properties...
I'm wondering if Shaw, in her state wont be the Space Jockey???

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2017 5:33 AMAnd who said those were the only humans to reach that planet, the ship. David knew they were coming, how??? They were not, and who laid the eggs???

MemberChestbursterOct-10-2017 8:18 AMScott had already stated David was the progenitor of the Xenomorph and the Foster Novel, while quite insightful and a great read, isn't canon as he uses early scripts and adds things he felt was necessary as proven by his previous novelizations and interviews. The proof that David has been using Engineers for his experiments are in his notes, he's used various specimens for his work such as infants and the like but that could all just be in his mind too. To think he destroyed every denizen on Planet 4 with the ampule drop is unlikely as some could've barricaded themselves in the Hall of Heads or their respective homes.

MemberFacehuggerOct-10-2017 10:10 AM@Ati - If Shaw was facehugged & made the 'real' chestburster, then Daniels is probably going to get the same thing done to her? I am very interested in seeing what David does next!

MemberPraetorianOct-10-2017 11:11 AMI Moon Girl - BigDave is not wrong. Visit Matt Hatton's instagram page, look at his posts about the Engineers. David worked on Engineer children as well.

MemberPraetorianOct-10-2017 11:19 AMchli - I know what your opinion/wish/point of view is regarding the mystery 'Who created the Derelict eggs?'
I myself wouldn't like to state anything about this enigma. If David is the creator, that's OK for me, if the Engineers made the Derelict eggs, that will be OK for me as well. I just like sharing these different pieces of information which were made ambiguous intentionally by the makers of the movie.

MemberPraetorianOct-10-2017 11:21 AMThis is one of your best topics Ati. I'm leaning toward Dr. Shaw being the female human in the notes. That is such a wonderful reference.
Yes, he could have lured more to Paradise but we know he had access to Dr. Shaw.
Here are some the notes regarding the Engineer youth.
Thank you Ati.

I don't know. We don't know who created the facehugger embryos seen in the last scenes of AC.

I've just found something more bizarre about Elizabeth, going to post it soon.

Thanks for the clue Ati. Still, I'm not going to read them because I'm not an avid Alien franchise fan as some people are on this website. Don't get me wrong though, I love the Alien franchise. To me, looking for answers on someone's Instagram just doesn't seem right to me. I'm not saying the answers aren't legit, but it just seems to disorganized for me. All of the information related to everything that is Alien: Covenant SHOULD HAVE been included in a special DVD for someone to always be able to easily reference too and not spread wildly across the internet. It just feels wrong to me. I guess the people involved with Alien: Covenant don't respect our time? I don't mind mysteriousness and breadcrumbs, but this...Tsk tsk... such disorganization. Such a shame when considering all the info that exists and could still exist.
Thanks for the clip! I don't plan on going to Instagram for myself, so I'm glad I got to see some of the proof. Thanks again.
