what would the ideal plot of alien awakening be for you?

I dont have a complete plot yet but i have some plot points that i want in the movie.

david lands the covenant with the colonists on origea6 witch is actually lv 426.

david uses his own dna along with the facehugger embryo to create the biomachanical xenomorph we see in alien witch then begins to attack the now awake colonists.

daneils orginizes the group to fight off the xenomorph.

lots of people are killed in this way.

a group of surviving engineers take a juggernaut and follow david to the planet to kill him.

all of the colonists and david are captured by the engineers and brought to the juggernaut were the engineers atempt to take off to their home planet.

david somehow infects the engineers piolit with the face hugger.

the ultramorph is born causing the ship to chrash back to the ground.

david is killed by his creation and the ultramorph starts to hunt all of them through the chrashed ship.

daniels manages to kill the ultramorph and escapes the ship but she realizes that david infected with the black goo sometime during this story( I havn't figured this part out yet) and she slowly mutates into the xenomorph queen.

the end.

do you have any suggestions?

also if you have your own plot, please share in the comments.

also, what do you think the appropriate tone for the film would be? philosophical like covenant and prometheous or more of just a strait horror movie? mine has a bit of philisophical stuff with david but he dies 2/3 of the way into the movie. horror is going to be the main point of mine.

I like a lot of those plot points, especially David infusing his own DNA with that of the facehugger embryos (for all we know, those particular embryos were already modified since he had a deeper understanding of how the black goo worked). Personally, I would have the main protagonist be one of the 2000 colonists who prematurely wakes up a year or so into David's experiments. I'm not sure if Origae 6 could be LV426 because it was my understanding that it was always barren, otherwise the Prometheus would have zeroed in on that location as opposed to LV223 (the only moon capable of sustaining human life).

The idea of the Engineers zeroing in on David makes a lot of sense; perhaps in a prologue, a group of them arrive at Planet 4 and observe not only the fallout of David's genocidal act, but the corpses of the Covenant crew in the citadel (pretty much spelling out in neon letters that their own creations were responsible) and...the remaining eggs that David cultivated. One of the eggs hatches and impregnates one of the Engineers, making him the eventual Space Jockey. His comrades retrieve and place him in stasis, knowing what will happen once the facehugger is finished. Perhaps David cracked a problem they've been trying to solve in regards to the creation of xenomorphs, which explains the murals in Prometheus. That Engineer would wake up near the end of the third act and either sacrifice himself to prevent the xenomorphs from seeing the light of day and crash his Juggernaut onto LV426 or fail in getting the eggs to LV223 and crashing on the former. My bet would be on the former considering how he managed to broadcast a warning before dying.

With David, I always had this sneaking suspicion that he's either inhabiting Walter's body or sharing it with Walter, which would create a very interesting plot element either way. If it was the former, David could just transfer his consciousness to any piece of AI he wants, so he wouldn't technically die (what if Ash is David?) If it was the latter, Walter's consciousness could regain control and allow him to destroy the body that contains them both, giving him a heroic ending of sorts.

Lastly, the idea of Daniels becoming or harboring the queen seems inevitable. I can picture a scene where the protagonist finds a preserved royal facehugger (similar to the discarded design in Alien 3) and eventually finds Daniels in an elaborate, beautifully-disgusting setpiece. Daniels implores the protagonist to kill her just before the queenburster erupts. It would be a powerful introduction to the queen and a heart wrenching end to Daniels' character.

I'm spitballing, of course, but those are very thought-provoking plot points that others can build on in their own way, so thank you for sharing.

Timmy The Ultramorph -

You mention Origae 6 turns out to be LV426 - i suggested in another thread that this could be a scenario fox have to consider but was laughed off the pages. maybe in the same system? The turbulance, the ringed planet there is something niggling with that. even though i have had all the evidence against thrown my way on several occasions. i think fox may be hinting even though it dont fit.

Anyway i would love to see the teardrop again. perhaps ending the prequel as it began with that amazing ship either seeding or over seeing a cleansing.

Walter has to live to see another day. too much marketing for it to end like that.

i would like an engineer or another race to be the SJ. Shame it HAS to be a current character as its eggs contain a David bio mech 1979 Xeno not a variant the engineers had. Shame that one. Oh hope David slows growth rate back down or that wont fit either. Thought i better mention that too.

Other than that i just want Fox to tread carefully and make sure all the changes they made they dont fall down a hole they created. Give us a story that fits with the timeline and canon at this point i cant hope for anything more than that.

it is well tricky. the path to alien from covenant is an impossible one perhaps:(

Timmy what you and this forum come with you can guarantee it will have more detail, effort and care than anything we could hope for.

What if they're already waiting for David in Origae 6, and it happens to be a space Greco-Roman colony like Paradise, but bigger and it looks just like some big ol Greek or Roman city and the Elders are waiting with Walter in their tear drop ship hovering above space Athens

I heard something about that lv 426 was a testing ground for the black goo and that is why it is like that.

As evidenced in Covenant, the black goo only affects non-botanical life forms, so it wouldn't have affected the climate and topography of LV426.

Yeah. your right. Although what if those weird spikes in the ground on lv 426 were actually alien plant life that was destroyed by the black goo?

Alien: Covenant Movie

Release Date:

May 19th, 2017

Plot Synopsis:

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS -- and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction.
