Main character david, advanced and more serious copy of dr. Jonathan from resurrection.
Dr. Jonothan was a bit more caricaturize person because resurrection was fun movie afterall and he was side character there.
David has just same passion about creations and bio tech. Stuff. As he is sick as dr. Jonathan he doesnt kiss aliens but doing much worse.
I hope this is a joke lol
Resurrection was abysmal and inspires feelings of loathing and detestation. Alien Covenant wasn't great but it was okay and merely inspires feelings of indifference.
In fact, maybe more than indifference. Maybe I liked it enough that I felt compelled to reply when it was compared to the tripe that is Resurrection.
I see the parallels (spelling??), Tdby. My guess is that David's demeanor/characterization in Covenant was NOT based off of the Dr. in Resurrection (spelling again??), but definitely some similiar atittidues between the two. Not on purpose, but I think this contributes to the many, many callbacks to the previous entries in the series in Covenant.
Not a map, an invitation
Tdby Hey man, you are leaving too many clues behind. I don't think you are who you say you are. Maybe the forum was getting a little bit too boring for your tastes and now you are playing this Superman/Clark Kent game? :-)
AC has its flaws but AR feels totally off for the most part. Sure you can compare them (as you can with many other things) but they are not at the same level. Dr Jonathan, was he the doctor that was trying to control the alien by pushing a button which made it freezing inside the Xeno chamber? If he was that character then he wasn’t very interesting although he probably could have been.
