I Moon Girl
MemberChestbursterJun-09-2017 9:02 PMDoes anybody know anything about this book. I don't recall reading anywhere about this book except on Wikipedia. I wonder why it would come out so shortly after Alien: Covenant? Anybody know anything about it? Who's excited! It seems like it will be the "Director's Cut" in a way.

(the reference to the publishing of this book is within the last sentence on wiki)

MemberNeomorphJun-09-2017 10:12 PMI Moon Girl You are a little bit behind with the news :-) The one you are referring to is the prequel novel that is getting all the hate in the forum right now because it has nothing to do with Elizabeth Shaw or the engineers, and there is no mention of the xenomorphs either. According to the official synopsis, it tells the story of a conspiracy to prevent the Covenant mission, and features characters like Branson, Daniels and Lope, providing some backstory about the newly merged Weyland/ Yutani Corporation. Below I posted some links where you can find more information.

MemberDeaconJun-10-2017 3:55 PMI think its a interesting book, one that could set up where they are going as far as the company and who runs the show and rivalry and espionage etc.... i think it could hint that the AI is running the show.
But i think fans was expecting a Book at the very least to cover Dr Shaw and some more information on the Engineers, and i think this just shows that RS/FOX are simply brushing these under the carpet.
And its the AI and Aliens Show now.

MemberChestbursterJun-10-2017 7:04 PMI think with any successful movie, you never know what it going to happen. There may be predictable events within the movie, but the main story is something that needs to be figured out as the movie progresses. I think, and I really hope, the next Alien movie will prove us wrong in thinking that the AI is in charge. It would be a great twist to tell us we are all wrong in thinking David created the Xenomorph's. There is so much information left out about the Engineers that it could easily twist on us and show us that the Engineers are still in charge of it all.
