...to have Shaw sing?

THIS BABY:

LOL!

AAAAAAND we could have heard Div'Ed do the "doo, doo, doo, doo, doo-doo-doo-doo" bit on the flute.  That would have been KILLER!  If you are gonna inject humor into a deadly (pun overtly intended) serious movie, then at least go for gold!  Or at very least, they could have had this song playing during the shower scene.  That also would have been boss and just a sly little wink. I think it would have fitted just as well as the song they ended up using, which actually I thought was a little jarring (too modern, and the movie might easily date because of it....that, and the terrible CGI...but we won't talk about that here.). Thoughts?!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.  I watched Androids blow and finger each other's flutes.

I would die happy if this song were used in either scene.

Hahahahaa thanks Jonesy!  You get it.  Thumbs up man, thumbs up.  It just would have been so freaking awesome.  Like even if they didn't actually have the song in the movie, just Div'Ed on the flute doing the doo-doos would have been a little subtle nod to anybody who noticed.

Could imagine singing this to herself as she was operating the juggernaut.

lol We are the World!!  Or the theme to Prometheus on the flute; not later in the scene.  That would have been the kicker lol

Or Div'Ed rapping this while cutting his hair.  Lol.  The lyrics are EERILY fitting.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left
‘Cause I've been blastin' and laughin' so long
That even my momma thinks that my mind is gone
But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it
Me be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of
You better watch how you talkin' and where you walkin'
Or you and your homies might be lined in chalk
I really hate to trip, but I gotta loc
As they croak, I see myself in the pistol smoke
Fool, I'm the kinda G that little homies wanna be like
On my knees in the night, sayin' prayers in the street light

well would someone in 2104 really be singing a 130 year old song? I don't think so

why not? we still sing songs from the 50s, that's 60 years ago. Even another 60 years after, I am sure those old classics will still be remembered
