Shaw's new body parts? (spoiler image)

I love this image, it reminds me of mystery of Space Jockey. You know something wrong is there but just can't figure out what's going on. 

just watched alien covenant, and boy, it is almost on par with the 1979 alien... prometheus got nothing on this bad boy... sad to say, there are very little information about shaw in this movie...but it is still great! 8/10!

I take it then there is no explanation as to what is behind her head? I read somewhere you don't even see her body directly, but only in background. Do I have both of these things correct?

I assume she was still contaminated from contact with Charlie. The goo is/was still in her system. 

Anyways, it's obviously an homage to this. One of Giger's most famous images.

Maybe being in cryo on the juggernaut changed her as it not supposed to be used by humans. Or she was still I'll and being inside sped up the process

Are you saying you believe it is growing out of her as opposed to David crafting something together?

Or is some sort of twisted clamp David uses to keep her head in place while he is doing stuff to her 

I think the anatomical artwork on this is phenomenal. I would like to see how much more of Shaw is revealed. There are some things that strike me about this. Firstly the expression on her face, as if she died peacefully. But who knows maybe David cleaned her up. I’d say she is in a contraption to hold her in place, because of how the skin from the collar bones is held in place. That’s another important point imo. The skin would appear to have been carefully cut open, rather than ripped or torn. Whether the rest of the body is like that, who knows ?

I could see that. Something made out of the bones of the humanoids he bombarded.

That looks pretty elaborate solely for immobilization. I think there is more to it- what? We will know soon enough.

According to some other folks who said watched the movie. Her face is normal and not like in the op.

As per the topic, this is Shaw from the film. However in the film this lifelike dummy of Shaw is covered in some tarps and not completely shown like the image. But it is without a doubt Shaw.

Perhaps both? That image I included could just be the stage prop they put in the scene to be a substitute for Shaw's body in scenes that didn't do a close-up. This would allow them to have her in any scene in David's workshop without having to actually pay Noomi for the extra screen time.

By the way, are you saying that Noomi does not appear as this corpse in the film? That it is simply this dummy under a tarp?

Actually, David summarily using her like that with no sentiment has more impact regarding humanity or lack there of imo.

It's kind of a shame they threw away a talent like Noomi Rapace in that way.  that character had some potential. I wish that Shaw "transformation" would've happened a film or 2 later ;/

I love the brutality of it. The cold AI kind of brutality. In her search for god she birthed the devil.
