Gives some insight to the Ripley connection if you ask me...

I think she is hinting at her journey, which to me seems that maybe she takes on a roll not so unprepared as Shaw, but not as maybe hard-line as Ripley in Alien.

But she goes through the transition of having to adapt fast, and so we could see similar progression to the Ripley Character from Alien to Alien 3 as far as how she deals with a traumatic and horrific event and comes out stronger at the end due to it.
