The Trilobite, the Head Statue Monument, both props seen in Prometheus which will apparently be making an appearance in Alien: Covenant as well.
My question today is - will the Covenant touch down on LV-223 prior to discovering the location of Paradise and David?
It certainly would make sense. David likely did not possess a long range tracking system and the Juggernaut ship he and Shaw used to escape LV-223 didn't either (at least for Humans).
I see Alien: Covenant being a game of cat and mouse, where the Covenant's crew are I'm search of the Prometheus and its survivors. They discover clues as to where David and Shaw went and then pursue those leads all the way to Paradise.
This of course would raise some more interesting questions:
1) Is the Trilobite mentioned on-set a new Trilobite? Or the one from Prometheus?
2) Is the head statue a new head statue? Or the one from Prometheus?
3) Where is the Deacon and does it sneak on board the Covenant as a means of escaping itself, like the Queen did in Aliens?
As it stands, given the info we currently have, I see no reason why we won't revisit LV-223 in Alien: Covenant. What do you think?
It's a HUGE plot hole if they don't! Peter Weyand and his daughter died there, Weyland is probably going to send a rescue party?..OR maybe Yutani, with Peter out of the way, simply buys Weyland and Weyland/Yutani just writes off the loss of the Prometheus("old man chasing rainbows") and never explore LV-223.
Alien 5 or 6 could make a return to LV-223(100 years later) and tie the series together?
To me it makes sense for the Covenant crew to actually go to LV-223 and search for the Prometheus on its last known location.
Like MonsterZero already mentions, this new plot can potentially explore how Weyland Corporation becomes Weyland Yutani, since 2 of the most important shareholders are now both deceased.
Lets hope these scriptwriters actually DO connect the dots this time. Prometheus suffered badly because it had an unfocused and messy script.
Exactly, there's no way for them to know the whereabouts of David without investigating LV-223. Since they have another David Android on board, it's likely he will discover the same clues David 01 did and will find the map to Paradise.
I sort of hope that they don't go back to LV 223. Just on the grounds that it wouldn't really introduce new ideas into the series. It would just basically repeat the same themes. But in saying that, it would be logical to follow that story line and answer some questions. If there is a Trilobite featuring in the new Alien movie. How does it come about? Considering how the last one came into existence. At the end of Prometheus, didn't Shaw set up a transmission warning people to keep away, "there is only death here". There must be some powerful motivation to ignore the warnings.
Where is BigDave?! he's great at sorting these things out.
The cave paintings on Earth are showing humans where the Engineers are located: LV-223. So I think the planet is the Nexus and needs to be addressed.
The colleagues of Shaw and Holloway are surely going to ask questions about their missing friends?
The people who built the Prometheus are going to want to know what happened to it....
The friends and family of the crew are probably a bit worried.....So yeah....there are probably hundreds of people on Earth who know about LV-223.
So I suppose they could have asked the Covenant to do a flyby and see what happened.
Captain of the Covenant: "We're a Colony ship! Not a Search and Rescue! Were not equipped to..."
Yutani corp. "Not a request, but an order"
Sure they can use that as a bit of the movie but it shouldn’t be the main thing. To me the main event is for David to go to Paradise/the home planet of the Engineers and see what they will find there. Supposedly it is a hostile place where a disaster has happened.
The Aliens movie didn't really explain that much of what happened in Alien except for Ripley's explanation.
It makes sense that they would touch down on LV-223. This could be part of the story arc.
Perhaps a shuttle crew comes across the Deacon, all hell breaks loose and the shuttle gets blown up. After hearing Shaw's message and/or discovering she and David left in a Juggernaut, the Covenant heads off in search of them.
"Let The Cosmic Incubation Begin" ~ H.R. Giger
The plot synopsis for A:C only mentions the planet that the crew of the ship covenant discovered,so I doubt that we might see LV-223 in future A:C sequels because we all known Weyland and his daughter died there and the whole trillion dollar USCSS Prometheus was destroyed.
Unless some rescue team was sent to investigate what happend there,it would be interesting to see a crew fom USCSS prometheus in engineer's holographic recordings of past events inside the pyramids and inside the crashed juggernaut revealing how they all died.
Hi Chris and thanks to all you guys that run these sites I enjoyed reading peoples thoughts as Prometheus emerged and felt I would like to contribute to A L I E N Covenant.
When they introduced John Logan and the A L I E N prefix to the title one word sprung to mind - connectivity. If you look at how all the themes of Bond's arc came together in S P E C T R E, for which John was the core writer, and then link that to the news that core elements of LV223 are re appearing, whilst we are ten years on and Noomi is "out ?" I think we will see a lot of threading. In the autumn Sir Ridley talked about the crew of the Covenant being second act what if there is a separate look at LV223 in the first act and by a less benign less innocent group.
Personally having read Ridders view of where the Croissant on LV426 fitted in to the Lindelof vision (2,000 years or so before) if we are now going to have threading and backing in to A L I E N and "Why create the A L I E N" as well as multiple David's machinations, human behaviour may contribute to the decision. What Covenant will do, amongst other things, is answer the questions as to whether the elliptical speculations of the Lindelof phase have survived. The Deacon appeared to be an encore and indicator of outcomes rather than part of the narrative maybe the deacon is now a fully paid up part of the narrative.

onto the Topic..... Answer is... Not Sure at all....
LV-223 is a loop hole in the timeline... as come the time of Aliens and after Aliens why bother with Ripley as the last source of Xeno DNA when LV-223 has much greater rewards?
This is something i thought would have to be addressed but is it something that would be? We never knew.. but looks maybe less likely with AC Synopsis and Alien Prequel Saga.
Lets look at how the Sequel to Prometheus and 2nd prequel to Alien started to look, what it was set up to do....
Prometheus had 2 endings... Ridley and Lindeloff said they was left open so either could be explored.. which means either or both could have been.... we had
1) David and Shaw on that Engineer Ship off to Paradise. well the destination that the Engineer said their race came from and Shaw is after Answers... Why was we created, why did they build that place on LV-223 and those Urns.. what was it made for. Why create us to then destroy us.. and maybe also... who created the Engineers?
2) LV-223 with the wreckage of Prometheus and its Life Boat with a Warning to not come to this place as there is just death here now.... yes indeed with Hammerpedes, Deacon and don't forget more Engineer Ships and most likely other Temple Complexes.
They went with option 1..... from not long after the movie came out, they came out and said this is the route to go because you cant leave those things unanswered you logically have to go where they go (David and Shaw)
And so as time went on we got more of a Synopsis....
They will find this Engineer World... they will find beings, but these beings will not be friendly they will at very least have a none Benevolent look on Mankind and we may be insignificant.
So they will find beings who are not so nice, and as Ridley Later said are Mean £!$"£$%"£..... but not to worry David is bringing Hell with him (Cargo) what happens if this Cargo infects God? or a Machine?
This lead us to a movie where David and Shaw arrive on the Engineer World, where they will at some point come across Engineers or maybe who ever created them.. and these guys don't have good intentions for Mankind. If these beings are not Benevolent and Shaw starts asking Questions.. well if these guys or even just ONE GUY/GOD does not approve of Shaw and David in a even worse fashion than the Last Engineer did...
This does not bold well for Shaw surviving and David having his head ripped off again... but David could unleash the Goo on them (Engineers etc) or himself.. or what about Shaw.... so we then get some Organism related to the Xeno that then puts a stop to the Engineers.
But what basis does a movie like this have? Not including answering Questions... but a movie where Two Crew from Earth one Synthetic the other Human who then find a handful or more or less of Ancient Alien Beings who are not very nice... and then Xeno type Carnage?
Does not make for a great movie, well it would be limited.
What about the Cast...
Fasbender and Rappace and a Handful of Actors to play Engineers or who ever created Engineers, and then a few Stunt/Costume Actors to play Men in Monster Suits i.e Alien Xeno related Organisms?
R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017
so my Reply to the above is.....
surely they would have done a movie that would covered more than Shaw and David and a Bunch of Engineers and Xenomorph Shenanigans?
So yes maybe there was the possibility of Flash Backs, or Scenes set on Earth at Weyland or Yutani HQ and maybe seeds of a 2nd mission to the LV-223/LV-426 System maybe leading to Prometheus 3?
But we cant be sure....
So now lets look at Alien Covenants Synopsis.....
That is again a Ship carrying Humans this time a Earth Ship with a Crew of Colonist arrive on the Engineer Homeworld to find....
Just David.... yep no Shaw... (confirmed she wont be in it.. or at least she wont be shooting any scenes ;) ) and no mention of the Engineers...? (But maybe that would give some of the plot away... just as if Prometheus synopsis revealed full plot.... so we cant rule out Engineers at all.
But most of all... yes we will see Xenomorph related Organisms as something is Evolving on that World.. and we will get to see the results of that and Xenomorph related Shenanigans that may include the Classic Xeno... in all its Life Cycles.... is that as a event of Flash Back who knows..
But again looking at this and then looking at the now confirmed Small Cast as far as potential Covenant Crew... which is about Half of what Prometheus had... but more than Prometheus Paradise Lost had.... but then maybe not seeing any Engineers...
Surely again with such a Plot.. would it require a Whole Movie?
Covenant lands down... finds David, maybe or maybe not finds traces of Engineer culture... something happens and Xenomorphs are unleashed.... there is going to be a lot of death and we have to ask.... how many of the Covenant Crew Survive? The less who survive the less to appear in a sequel..
And there will be 2 more sequels..... thats a lot of movies to span 9 Crew Members over.... so this brings us to the ANSWER TO THE TOPIC..
I would assume YES! LV-223 or at very least another vessel in bound at a latter point has to be covered.... maybe AC could show us seeds of that by having a side Plot?
The supposed leaks i had did say the Plot had 3 Plot elements and by that they said Prometheus had 2 really but the Sacrificial one played a small role... i assume they also mean Shaw and Holloways Cave Painting Finding scene also does not count.... And so by 3 Plot Points they mean 3 Separate Stories/Elements that have more screen time than just the Sacrificial Scene, the Finding the Cave Painting Scene... But that if we take from when we saw Prometheus traveling through Space and the Events that happened to that Crew right until Shaw collecting Davids Body... then if this is a main Plot... the source i had said Prometheus 2 had 2 such plots and a 3rd sub plot....
Now there is no 100% way to confirm those links, since the Story and Plot for the next movie seems to have changed from the Plot that was hinted prior to Alien Covenant...
But that does not rule out us seeing AC having more than the ONE PLOT... which is the Synopsis.

As far as the Props..... so far we have seen the Big Head and so yes we are going to see one again... it does not look the same as the one in Prometheus... but it is far from finished and so the Markings etc could be added after.
This means one of 3 things!
1) The Crew of Covenant or maybe just David... finds a Temple, or Cave or maybe even a place in the open where this head is located.
2) The will be a mission to LV-223 where they come across the same head... or maybe even another in another Temple Mound or some place else on LV-223.
3) The head is part of a Flash Back Scene... either on Paradise, or LV-223 that involves either Engineers or maybe just David.
As far as the Trillobite... its only a rumor and with rumors they cant be taken as Fact unless... its something said by a member of the Cast... or someone with Proof they are working on the movie.
The Head Sculpture and Exploding Lander are in the movie because we have Photo Proof.
Back to the Trilobite... if this is correct.. well it depends if this is just a Prop.... i.e like Dead Engineers or if its Alive...
I would doubt the Trilobite from Prometheus is alive as well if its plays into the Alien DNA then its a Face Huger that dies after it has accomplished its task..
We have to remember the said Trilobite is a Human/Xeno Hybrid... it had signs of having Hair, and also the resulting Chest Buster was born with a Placenta and Human/Mammal Features and not Bio-Mechanical.
The Trilobite was created by either Holloways infected Sperm, or via the Goo maybe being tiny nano worm like Organisms, similar to Sperm that infected a Egg.
So we know the kind of procedure needed to make one.... but thats not to say we cant see a different one...
We cant be sure if the supposed leak of a Trilobite is exactly the same.. is it the same size..? It could be something different and smaller but that looks more like the Trilobite than a Face Huger.
We have to remember the Mural showed us Two kinds of Face Huger that looked more like a Trilobite than Face Huger to a degree.. well a cross between the two but these where no where near as large as the Trilobite.
I would be kind of against seeing a Trilobite of similar size and style as Prometheus in Covenant as far as on Paradise. But as far as a Flash Back Scene... or even another mission to LV-223 i think then it would fit into that.
At the Moment its only concrete that we will see another/same Head Statue again.
R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017
But i we are to assume the London Flyer Tweets are correct then it seems they are set on Paradise... But we cant be sure what he meant by Gun Battle.
Is it a Security Guard opening Fire on a Xeno Related Organism? Or Gun Battle between Humans?
He mentions the Trilobite as far as the White Alien Shaw gives birth to is back.... now the Adult Trilobite i would not say is quite White?
But the one that was taken out of the C-Section was... so maybe it could be the same kind at a younger stage? If so how does this work.... i am sure David has enough time to work out exactly how the Trilobite came to be in Prometheus...
could he have experimented on Shaw while she was in Cryo Sleep.. is this why we wont see Shaw... or he infects Shaw at some other point not shown in this movie.. where we would only need a Dead Chest Busted Prop of Shaw?
Who knows... we cant rule out a similar but different Organism either.

As far as LV-223 goes I think that they could answer some of that but that it shouldn’t be the main focus of the movie. The main focus would be the monsters and the Engineers (why they did the bio weapon). If the bio weapon (Xenos but maybe other monsters also) killed a lot of them then it should explain a bit why. Alien Covenant wouldn’t have to answer everything in detail but be detailed enough to give us enough answers and not be confusing. Honestly I am not very interested in who made the Engineers but I am interested to see how their world looks like (nature, society, and so on) if it is connected in some way to the Xeno and also other monsters.
The reason why I am interested in the engineers is that they are connected to the Xeno. I am wouldn’t be very interested in them if there wouldn’t be for the Xeno connection although I guess that you could make a fairly good story based on the engineers for the most part but that depends how you portray them, and how the characters are in the movie.
They could try to find out what happened on LV-223 if the Weyland company try to send a group there but I hope that it isn’t the main focus, at least it shouldn’t be. I am not sure if I am interested enough in that part.
Hopefully Shaw will be in cryo sleep most of the time if she will be in it at all. I hope that David will have his head on the whole time because I am interested to see what he can do. What if David finds some Engineer tech and is trying to figure out how that works? He showed curiosity in Prometheus so I can imagine a scenario like that in Alien Covenant. This could work if it is done right.
If they put a stop to the Engineers and wipe out their civilization then how will the scene in Alien (1979) be explained? Some of the Engineers should survive in order to explain the opening in Alien (1979) even though maybe in a vague way.
To just have the focus on David and Shaw wouldn’t be very interesting I think. They should have some other characters in the movie that we can follow and yes they should be well written. Shaw could be in it as a side note/back ground figure (as far as the importance of the story goes but also as far as screen time) if at all.
As far as the Xeno related organisms I hope that we will see other monsters that are connected. For example they had the squid alien which I think looked alright and also the monster in the end. Since the Engineers will have some sort of importance in the movie it would be cool if they found some sort of lab where the Engineers have been trying to develop different creatures/monsters. The lab thing could be interesting because it could be some sort of comparison to the lab that they found in the ship in Aliens (1986). Hopefully we will see some other monsters and not just Xenos.
