Thats pretty close to what I was thinking the Xeno Cat would look like. There are however four of five larger vertebrae along the spinal column that would indictate that the Xeno Cat had some type of spikes in the form of bone coming from its back. Perhaps the spinal column bone structure was a base for a muscle mass that included tendrils that would wrap around the Xeno Cats stomach where the worm cans could be carried that would allow more worm cans to carried in hand.

Also just wanted to say good job to nostromo001 on your first digital paintings. Keep pumping them out you will get better over time.

It is HR Giger who creates the aesthetic breakthrough for Alien 1 … no doubt Alien through Giger becomes the SciFi flic of the 80s that invested so solidly in establishing a non-Earth scenario which shoke its unsuspecting movie audiences (used to Hollywood's superficial Sci Fi tin can images ) to the very core ... HG Giger's dark-metallic creativity installs fear in one's imagination.
Since Giger, and perhaps for the very first time in Sci-Fi movies, for many in the audience, his alien world looked and felt too realistic not to be real. The sound track in Alien 1, as well, broke with past films musical tracks ... it becomes metallic, screeching, hissing in Alien ... in a perfect accompaniment to Giger's dark, suggestive visual creation.

The original Alien that was introduced in 1979 was more smooth in it's newborn state, as was the Deacon from Prometheus. But the adult had a much more intricate carapace/exoskeleton, that I used as a basis for what an adult Deacon might look like.
