Titan Books has confirmed that they will be releasing “Alien: Covenant – The Art of the Film“, which will compile and gather much of the concept and other incidental artwork from the film. While no specific details regarding the content have yet been released, it’s confirmed that the book will be 192 pages with a retail price of £29.99. There’s no word yet on an American release.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with Alien: Covenant, a new chapter in his groundbreaking Alien franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Cheers to for the find!

The future of Alien

The Alien franchise is taking a dramatic turn at 20th Century Studios, now owned by Disney. Currently there are two major Alien projects in development - a new Alien TV series by Noah Hawley and a new, stand-alone Alien movie being directed by Fede Alvarez. Both of which will be taking the franchise in a new direction - moving away from the Alien prequel direction Ridley Scott set out to pursue back in 2012.

I really like this line in the synopsis:

When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

They uncover a threat beyond theur imagination and must attempt a harrowing escape. Hmmm...

Thanks for posting this up, Rick!

Nice. Another clue about the plot, and where the battle lines will be drawn.

When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.]

Was this always in the synopsis or has it been recently added?  Not seen that line before?!

It seems this has been added to the synopsis.

Nice addition to the Synopsis but i guess it was logical they would not want to be sticking around once Hell breaks loose.

So this Synopsis addition seems to maybe add to the Explosion scene we saw?  This is just a assumption that maybe some one tries to prevent their means of escape.

i.e Sabotages the ship?

Great news, thanks Rick!
