Fox are unleashing an awesome Alien virtual reality game on Alien Day (April 26th) this year! The Alien VR game is officially titled Alien: Descent and will place you in the middle of a Colonial Marine mission whereby you and your squad must investigate a Weyland-Yutani mining outpost which has been overrun by - you guessed it - Xenomorphs!
The Alien VR Technology
ALIEN: DESCENT features a first-of-its-kind wireless technology that changes the way users experience virtual reality. Developed by Pure Imagination Studios in partnership with FoxNext Destinations, the technology allows up to four guests to move about freely in VR without the use of PC backpacks or wires.

The future of Alien
The Alien franchise is taking a dramatic turn at 20th Century Studios, now owned by Disney. Currently there are two major Alien projects in development - a new Alien TV series by Noah Hawley and a new, stand-alone Alien movie being directed by Fede Alvarez. Both of which will be taking the franchise in a new direction - moving away from the Alien prequel direction Ridley Scott set out to pursue back in 2012.
